PERS (Personal Emergency Response System)

A Homesecure Personal Emergency Response System provides a vital link for the Elderly or Handicapped with their relatives and carers. With PERS the user can make contact with someone with one push of a button. A Panic wristband or pendant is worn by the user and therefore can be activated in any room of the home or even outdoors. If the user trips or falls, or if there is an emergency, simply press the button and the Homesecure base unit will phone up to 5 contact numbers. The base unit will keep dialling the phone numbers until someone acknowledges the Emergency call. The unit will tell the contact by voice message that there is a Medical Emergency or Panic situation.

An outdoor siren with strobe light can also be installed to attract local attention if desired.

Wireless PIR detectors which are normally used as an intruder detector can operate as an inactivity sensor. The base unit can be set so that if no movement has been detected by the PIR in a set time it will send out an emergency alarm in the same way as the wristband/pendant. The inactivity time is adjustable. Setting a PIR as an inactivity sensor has no affect on its function as an intruder detector.

Other wireless sensors can be connected for peace of mind. Smoke, Heat, Flood, Gas, Carbon Monoxide etc.

With Homesecure PERS you would always be aware of the situation and be able to take action.

The PERS system can be used by anyone, young or old. There are panic buttons on Keyfobs, wireless keypads and also on the main system panel.
